ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY-EMPLOYER PARTNERSHIP AWARD
The Reimagine Education Awards – and its connected event, the Reimagine Education Conference – are designed to encourage fruitful collaboration. In particular, the Steering Committee are passionate believers in the social good derived from co-operation between universities and employers.
The QS Graduate Employability Rankings provide a means by which universities who liaise closely with employers can achieve recognition for their outreach efforts, with two indicators dedicated to quantifying those efforts.
However, these indicators only measure quantity – they don’t yet directly reward institutions for truly outstanding interaction with employers. This inaugural Reimagine Education Best University-Employer Partnership Award will award collaboration that has evidence of improving graduate employability, innovation, and/or knowledge transfer.
In creating this Award, the Reimagine Education Steering Committee hope to encourage universities to increase their interaction with employers. As a consequence, they also hope to ensure that preparing students for contemporary society – including the changing, complex world of work – becomes a key aspect of all universities’ strategy.
