- Raghavv Sharma, whose organization, Uplift Inc., aims to assist startups as they seek to globalize.
We’re also offering some Reimaginer Community introductions this week. They include:
- Dayton and Eileen Johnson, who are our first-ever Applicant Success Partners. They’ll provide invaluable assistance as our shortlisted entrants prepare to navigate one of the most competitive educational award processes around;

Startup investors evaluate 3 elements when deciding on whether to risk their capital; team, product and market. While team is always a key consideration in the EdTech space, there tends to be a focus on market over product. Edvisor Finland explore how the ingredients of an EdTech product decides market distribution and market share. In doing so, it serves as a reminder to EdTech start-ups and investors of the primacy of education in EdTech.
Reimagine offers its shortlisted applicants the opportunity to present in front of a global audience. Succeed in telling your story by engaging your audience and clearly conveying the importance and relevance of your work, and product impact, with firm conviction.

Globalization has provided significant improvements to education standards across the globe and several best practices have been observed and transferred from one country to another with greater ease. Uplift Inc. aims to empower every startup in the edtech field to look beyond their perceived markets and to start planning for international expansion, particularly the startup from countries that have strong teaching cultures. Raghavv Sharma, CEO of Uplift, tell us more – below.
Though, like many technologies, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality offer plenty of potential for educational implementations, there is still much work to be done to establish both when it is appropriate to introduce this technology in educational settings, and how to ensure that this introduction is effective. Our Reimagine Education Finalist-Stage Judge, Viraj Patwardhan, aims to consider these issues as examined through a healthcare education lens
This week, Sophie Bailey speaks to Richard Price – Learning Technologies Advisor at NHS Health Education England – about preparing the healthcare workforce to deliver the digital future, how to communicate training objectives across an enormous and diverse workforce, and how to assess new technologies and their impact on learning. Lots of transferable lessons for anyone utilizing or deploying digital skills!
Sophie’s also launching a new series on adult and vocational training, whose launch will take place in London on 18th September. It promises to be a characteristically compelling session, and those able to attend should register here.
Each issue, we’ll be introducing you to different members of our judging panel: what challenges do they believe are preoccupying their education sector? What outstandingly innovative, effective solutions have they seen, of which our readership might wish to take note? And what characterizes education in their sphere?
This first feature sees us catch up with three of our United Kingdom judges: Tom Gorman, a former Reimagine Education Hybrid Learning winner from the University of Coventry; Tim Stirrup, New Business Manager at Cool Initiatives; and Bob Harrison, whose sterling educational background has taken him to the position of Trustee at the UFL Trust. Meet them here.
