Great educators know that truly transformative ideas begin with a question – begin at those moments where challenge becomes opportunity.
The challenges – the questions – facing those at the forefront of our education system are as numerous and complex as they’ve ever been:
Provide a platform for those able to answer those questions. Bring leading thinkers from across the world togther for an annual meeting of expert minds. Put the academic, the startup-creator, the teacher, the investor, and the policy-maker in the same room, around the same table.
At Reimagine Education, we believe that if we allow each of these parties, with their own individual perspective, to come together, we will create an environment where challenge becomes opportunity – where questions become answers.
To do so, Reimagine Education takes two forms. The first – the yearly Reimagine Education competition – ensures that great ideas are given the global audience they deserve. The competition also offers its best contribution $50,000 in funding: either the assistance needed for a vision to become reality, or a reward for an idea well-executed.
Universities, K12 educators, and ed-tech startups alike apply for the competition, sharing in common the desire to improve teaching, learning, or employability outcomes.
The leading submissions are announced each year at a gala dinner in Philadelphia in December. However, the Reimagine Education conference is much more than a flashy awards ceremony.
It’s an elite education forum attended by delegates worldwide, all desiring to debate, discuss, and collaborate around education’s Big Questions. The conference is headed by the big names in the education and technology worlds. It’s organized in collaboration with the Wharton School, and features keynotes from education thought-leaders at Microsoft, Apple, and Google in previous years.
It’s also a chance for attendees to meet those whose thought and energy are improving education for learners everywhere. The top-tier applicants to the Reimagine Education competition will be showcasing their work.
The conference will take place this year between the 3rd and 5th December, and the registrations window is now open.
Education’s changing. Help drive that change.
