Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality Award


Approximately one month before last year’s Reimagine Education Awards closed for 2016, Pokémon Go was released to the world, bringing the potential of Augmented Reality technologies to a mass audience.

Six months later, Labster received the Overall Ed Tech Award at the 2016 Reimagine Education conference. Their platform effectively used virtual reality technology to provide virtual online laboratory simulations to students and teachers. Labster’s victory could, in part, be perceived as an official acknowledgement of the transformative potential of VR in education.

Therefore, we’re delighted to announce our first-ever Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality Award. We seek projects that harness these emerging technologies to improve teaching delivery, enhance employability outcomes, and leverage quality learning.
